Introduction:
Anyone who is
going through the process of preparing for an
entrance exam would inevitably be doing MCQs. People
have many methods of answering the questions and
preparing for the exams, but the most common method,
I guess would be like this- take a certain no. of
questions, write down all the choices on a paper,
then go back to the answersheet and crosscheck the
answers, then do the counting and arrive at a score,
taking into account, negative scoring and other such
predefined criteria. You would be able to arrive at a
score after all this rote. This tends to take the fun
out of answering MCQs and the method as such though
essential to know your current status, is difficult
to comply with.
So
what's the way out?
HomeCET
1.0 is a step in that direction, it aims to make the
job of self-evaluating your answersheets easy, and
succeeds to a fairly large extent.
How
to use HomeCET:
Working with
HomeCET 1.0 is straightforward. You start up the app,
and start answering your paper at the same time.
Workout the problems and enter the choices as you
solve the questions. When you are done with the
paper, take out the actual answersheet and enter the
choices therein. HomeCET does the rest, It will come
with your score; in a "right/total" format,
the total marks obtained.
HomeCET
is a program written in Pascal by C.Senthilnathan,
currently doing his Pre-Univ at National College,
Jayanagar. He promises a better interface and more
options with the next version of HomeCET.
